We warrant how your Saint Swyn is made, not how it wears.

For five years from the original date of purchase, all Saint Swyn bags and small leather goods are covered against qualifying defects in craftsmanship and construction.

Coverage includes:

  • Structural seams and stitching
  • Handle and strap attachment points
  • Structural construction, including the frame, base and gusset
  • The working function of hardware, including clasps, zippers, turnlocks, rings, studs and feet
  • Lining seams
  • Edge finishing or glazing where failure results from a defect in craftsmanship
  • Bonded materials where separation results from a defect in construction

Where an issue is covered, Saint Swyn repairs the piece at no charge for parts or labour. Where repair is not reasonably possible, Saint Swyn will replace the affected component, offer a comparable replacement, or provide a credit.

Repairs are carried out by the workshop in Ubrique that made the piece. Most take up to eight weeks, and Saint Swyn confirms the expected date on arrival.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty covers how a piece was made, not what happens to it afterwards.

It does not cover normal wear and ageing β€” scratches, scuffs, corner and edge wear, patina, softening, changes in colour and tone, or the natural variation in grain, texture and markings that comes with real leather. Nor does it cover damage from water, heat, sunlight, cosmetics, perfume or solvents; accidental damage, misuse or overloading; improper storage or cleaning; loss or theft; or damage in transit to us. We cannot service pieces we are unable to authenticate.

Some conditions not covered by the Craftsmanship Warranty may still be eligible for our Care, Renewal & Repair services.

Saint Swyn services every piece it makes, for as long as it is owned, whether or not it remains under warranty.

Depending on condition, service may include cleaning and leather conditioning, hardware service, stitching repair, edge refinishing, structural repair, and more extensive restoration where possible.

Each piece is assessed individually and quoted for approval before any work begins. Where an original leather, colour, finish or component is no longer available, Saint Swyn will discuss the alternatives before proceeding.

Leather is a natural material, and results vary with age and condition. Complete removal of marks or signs of wear cannot be guaranteed; Saint Swyn will say what to expect before beginning.

The first care service

Within three years of purchase, the first care service on each bag is included: cleaning, conditioning, hardware care, and an inspection of the stitching and construction. It covers routine maintenance rather than repairs or accidental damage, is available once per bag, and cannot be exchanged for credit.

Insured delivery to Saint Swyn is arranged by the client. Return delivery within the United States is included.

This is a Limited Warranty.

Eligibility

The five-year craftsmanship warranty applies to Saint Swyn bags and small leather goods purchased directly from Saint Swyn or an authorized stockist. Coverage begins on the original date of purchase and continues for five years.

The warranty follows the piece. If a bag is passed on or sold, the remaining coverage transfers with it.

Items purchased from an unauthorized seller are not covered. Authentic Saint Swyn pieces remain eligible for paid Care, Renewal & Repair regardless of ownership, subject to assessment and availability.

Proof of Purchase

An order number, receipt, invoice, or the certificate of authenticity supplied with the piece is required to obtain warranty service.

Remedy

Replacement of an entire piece is not guaranteed. Exact replacement leather, hardware, colors and finishes may not remain available throughout the warranty period; where an exact match is unavailable, Saint Swyn will discuss an appropriate alternative before proceeding.

Implied Warranties and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to five years from the original date of purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this may not apply.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Saint Swyn is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of a Saint Swyn product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this may not apply.

Legal Rights

This warranty gives specific legal rights, and a purchaser may have other rights that vary by state or country. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the statutory rights of consumers in the United Kingdom and European Union.
